Common questions
What is the IBC?
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 is the law that sets out how companies that cannot pay their debts are dealt with. Cases involving companies are heard by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), with appeals to the NCLAT.
A company owes me money. Can I use the IBC?
Sometimes. Whether it is the right route depends on the amount, the type of debt and your goals. We can help you compare it with other ways of recovering money.
I am a home buyer and my builder is in insolvency. What happens now?
Home buyers have a recognised role in a builder's insolvency process. Your rights depend on where the process stands, so speak with a lawyer early.
